Emerald Violin is the brainchild of Adelaide raised, Newcastle based Emma Cother. It is an emerging, boutique non-profit enterprise committed to developing, advocating for, and leading initiatives that foster the critical role creativity plays in nurturing social and emotional wellbeing at the individual and collective level.
As an experienced project manager of national and regional mental health initiatives, with tertiary qualifications in Global Mental Health, Social Development (specialising in Refugees and Forced Migration), Management and Marketing; Emerald Violin serves as the professional embodiment of Emma’s three greatest passions – mental health, rights based community development and the arts.
In essence, Emerald Violin is concerned with People, Place and Process.
When not in the guise of Emerald Violin, Emma has a penchant for all things vintage, spirited conversations with kindred folk, the healing balm of an ocean swell, catching a live gig or performance and the calm that descends when she makes it to her yoga mat.
